Our Mission
Who We Are
The Network for Principled Nicotine Policy is a hub for scientists, physicians, public health advocates and nicotine product consumers who are working to eliminate cigarette smoking in the United States. We promote an evidence-based understanding of nicotine and tobacco products, equip policymakers and media with reliable facts, and counter misinformation about nicotine and tobacco products.
Our goal: smarter policies, fewer smokers, and healthier communities.

Our Activities
The Network supports the following activities to generate a greater understanding of the science and facts regarding nicotine and tobacco.

Policymaker Education
We engage with federal and state policymakers to ensure there is a balanced approach to nicotine policy that both protects youth and supports adults who wish to quit smoking.

Media Engagement
We build relationships to connect reporters with experts in the science regarding nicotine and tobacco. We also build capacity of researchers who wish to engage more with the media.

Addressing Misinformation
We identify and assertively address misinformation regarding nicotine and tobacco products through news media, scholarly and professional publications, and social media.
